First homework

This is the first homework for the last work shop which to show movement of the object. I ve chosen the stationary on my table and i move around to draw different views of them which i hope to express movement. For the background, im using the line observation technique which i think will make the drawing more interesting.

Museum 2

here im tring to draw the shadows of museum, cause when i was doing the drawing, i was sitting right facing to the sun so that i couldnt really see the museum very clearly. Thus, i draw the shadow and use overlap hoping to show the movement.

last homework for last workshop

i used chacle to do this drawing. im trying to show the movement by overlapping and trasparent consists of two big glasses cube of museum.

Library

This is the library which is drawed by moving around at a different angles. I also trying to use the different of darkness, clearness and some perspective to show the relation between close and far.

First museum drawing by ink. Since ink is very waterful, im trying to use different toner of black to show the layer and transparent movement

In class drawing 4

thats my pencil case! Oberviously, im trying to show the movement by two completely different drawing. One is very detail drawing which is the small one, and another big one i draw it roughly using ink with no sharp boudary and different toners of black

In class drawing 3

the drawing is made by ink, which tutor had shown me how to draw by ink. Im actually learn a lot about how to draw, things like the dark side, light side, the shadow, the different toners, and how to make things look spatial

Second homework for last workshop

im drawing a tissue box and a bottle, im trying to show the reflection of the bottle since its container is made from glasses and hope to show the difference between something reflection (bottle) and no reflection (tissue box). Moreover, im trying to show the movement of bottle using overlaping and repetition.

In class drawing 2

We r doing line observation which i thought is very interesting. Your eyes should keep looking at the objects and let your hands followed your eyes movement. Its funny and i love that. Then i draw something "reality" on the top which showing the movement by different "forms" of object.

In class drawing 1

First attempt of showing the movement. Im seeing that our tutors were walking around the class and teaching, so i drew their movement by many many circles.

Animation

Animation!!! The first animation that ive made!! it cost me two whole weekend to make it which is quite lots work but its quite fun actually. Its about a student sitting in the class and dreaming he was wathing the Red Center (which i know is odd) and i have different view of the red center, (side view, looking up, bird view).

Final Model

its the last model! and its the model that i was most satisfied with.

the topic is "freedom" and combined the experiences in the classes. for my thinking, freedom is the ideas in your brain since u can think anything u like as long as u can imagined. for architecture, i thought, the freedom has to be come out by ur hand whatever u decide to draw it, or make a model of it and so on. thus, i made a box to represent the brain and the box has only one open end to form the hand which means the only way to express ur ideas in ur mind is using ur hands. also, i got four layers which represent the four practices that we had in previous classes, and each layer is bigger than the previous one since we r getting better through the practice. Last thing i did is to cut out a knife of the wood and make it standing on the "hand".

Week 3 Collage

this is the A3 collage for our model showing the aspect of central.

i chose the route from central station to our uni since i was folloing this line everyday and i want to show the senery outside the buses.
So on Saturday, i actually took the buses from central to uni, and recorded every moment by camera. then i get off at uni and walked back folloing the path and took pictures whatever i liked. Its a nice experience.

Week 3 Model

haha ,this is the second model that ive made. its basically a box which made of thin blaza wood to represent the buses, and i got some same size square at the two sides of the "buses", since i thought as buses is going on the road, every time u watched out of the window is kind of a picture, they stayed at that instantaneous time. the "line" comeing cross the buses is made of masking paper to represent our eyesight, so that our eyes were just watching out, then coming back, and watching out again, etc. ......

Week 2 model

HAHA~~~~~~, this is my first model in the class, i was asked to go through 4 phylosophy text and choose one of the architects/artiests' work to make a model. Jesus, i could not understand those 4 texts very much even i have read them about 5 or 6 times, ive tried my best and i just got some surface ideas about what they were talking about. Finally, i made a model based on the Borgelt (Liquid Light) and the texts "The Fold: -Leibniz and the baroque', written by gilles DELEUZE, which talked about the relations between fold and unfold and how to assist each other. this model is made of simple diamond shape, but to form a different shape as putting together.......

Memory

this is the only image that it was not abstract, since when i heared the word "memory", the first thing that jumpped out of my brain is my high school in China. The image has shown the time when we finished our morning exercises and all students started to go to classes. What a nice memory........

Anxiety

If something was very messy and unpredictable, i will become anxiety, therefore i mixed the water, thunder, wind and slow together which means that something could not be happened, and if it happen, its anxiety!!!!!!!!!!!

Confinement

i draw this image for "confinement ", cause i thought confinement is to trap everything, nothing can avoid to be absord and escape, even light, so i draw a blackhole in the centre and some lines which representing the "things" being attracted

Desire

Desire as i thought, it can never be satisfied, as the first desire comes out, more and more desire will be created to achieve the first wanting so the desire become larger and larger. Thus, i draw a circle on the very top as the first desire, and more and more larger circles at the bottom.........

Dream

when i thinking of dreams, some fluid lines come out of my mind and it become some nice curve as drawing out since i thought dreams is flowing and it can be changed like waves^_^

Terror

Terror, is horrible, so i draw something very contractive........
